Today, we\u2019re rolling out an improvement to\u00a0Performance Mode<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can now use Performance Mode inside Daily and Monthly Challenges, with a refreshed Challenges UI designed to make competition clearer, fairer, and more motivating.<\/p>\n

This update is a key part of what\u2019s coming in February\u2019s Monthly Challenge. But since that\u2019s still a little over a week away, we\u2019re warming things up first.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s new in Performance Mode<\/h2>\n

Performance Mode is now part of Challenges<\/h3>\n

In Performance-based challenges, you\u2019ll be trying to beat a distance record set by another community member close to your level.<\/p>\n

  • Beat the record \u2192 you complete the task<\/li>\n
  • Don\u2019t have a record for that time yet?
    \nYour task becomes setting your own distance record first<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Progress that matches your current fitness<\/h3>\n

    If your existing records were set when you were fitter than you are right now, you can reset them:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Go to Train \u2192 Performance Mode<\/li>\n
    • Reset your records<\/li>\n
    • Set new baselines that better match where you are today<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      This makes progress easier to track and challenges more achievable, without pressure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\"\"<\/span>

      Warm-up before February<\/h2>\n

      Before the February Monthly Challenge begins, we\u2019ll be running two Performance-based Daily Challenges on January 26 and January 28.<\/p>\n
