If you’ve tried Orangetheory workouts, you probably know how great they are. If you haven’t heard about them, here’s in short what they had to say about it:

Orangetheory is a 1-hour, full-body workout, focused on training endurance, strength and power. We use heart rate-based interval training, which burns more calories post-workout than traditional exercise.

Basically, by using heart rate monitors, you find the “orange zone”, the zone where you burn most calories in the most effective way. 

Sounds great, and it is!

Now, there is one downside to it at this moment – you need to go to the gym in order to get your Orangetheory workouts. And with the ongoing lockdown, that simply isn’t possible for a lot of us.

So, we wanted to compare the Orangetheory workouts with HOLOFIT virtual workouts, show you what a great alternative HOLOFIT is and help you stay in shape even during the isolation. 

We’ll begin with some common aspects that these two share.

While Orangetheory uses other equipment as well, it seems that most of the cardio workouts revolve around row ergs. HOLOFIT also focuses on row ergs, enabling virtual workouts and competitions.

Both HOLOFIT and Orangetheory workouts have been designed for people wanting great results in fitness performance improvement, weight loss and overall health and wellbeing. 

Orangetheory does this by finding the “orange zone” where you’ll be most efficient, and then adjusts the workouts to your level, burning most calories and improving muscle endurance, strength and power.

HOLOFIT has a variety of workout modes that focus on endurance improvement and increased calorie burn.

What Do They Offer?

Combination of motivation and effectiveness is the reason why Orangetheory has its big success.  HOLOFIT is the same: the social aspect, combined with virtual experiences with real results in HOLOFIT helps people stay motivated while providing real results in the least time.

Pricing Comparison

Now, to be completely fair, this is going to be like comparing apples and oranges. This is therefore just for your information, without intent of favorizing one of these two.

Orangetheory workouts are conducted in a gym, with a supervision of a professional fitness coach, and that will cost you between $59/month and $159/month, depending on the tier you pick (tiers determine the number of your monthly workouts).

With HOLOFIT, on the other hand, we’ve decided to take a different approach that will allow almost anyone to use it. With the monthly fee of $9.90, we believe we have succeeded in our effort. Of course you still need a VR headset to use HOLOFIT, and the prices for these go from below $100 to around $700.

Both offer a free trial (one gym session for Orangetheory, 7-day free trial for HOLOFIT), which is really great.

Orangetheory workouts really are great, and a lot of our HOLOFIT members have at some point tried it or are still using them. They are however super happy to be able to use HOLOFIT at home and stay connected through our virtual workouts to their peers during these times.
